I am in awe at the many wonderful videos here on Youtube. How fun and exciting to go to my computer and see such talented musicians. It's like a concert at my fingertips and an inspiration for me. I pray to one day be as accomplished on the guitar and keyboards and perhaps the flute that I bought many years ago that is waiting patiently to be dusted off and played. Thank you for sharing and for being so generous with your talents so that those of us struggling to be better musicians can apply what you teach in your videos with the hope to be half as good. Thank you for sharing your gifts for those of us who want only to listen and enjoy. With that being said, I uploaded a video of myself, with more to add, and although I am far from being half as good as the musicians I have seen here, I share the music that I sing at our church written by wonderful songwriters accompanied by my own fingerstyle and strumming on the acoustic guitar. They are songs that speak to my soul with words in which my faith is rooted. For some of you, I know it is your faith as well. Whatever your faith, they are love songs and we can all use a little love and kindness. A few summers ago, I found this beautiful butterly sitting in the grass in my backyard. It couldn't fly. I knew it's lifespan was very limited. I gently picked it up and placed it in a planter that I had filled with many flowers. Each day I would take the butterfly out and place him on my fingers where it could spread its wings and then I placed it back into the flowers where it found shelter. Slowly its wings stopped moving until it finally rested in peace. Thus, it seemed appropriate to place its photo here where I plan to spread a little music with my stwings. Peace dear friends.
