Hehe. 14 days Clicky the yellow button xD Everyone having trouble with there horse stopping, turning, problems with the bit. Make sure your horses teeth have been floated lately. Laredo didn't have his teeth floated for 3 years until a few weeks ago. Before he had to be ridden in a kimberwick just to get him to stop, he had bad habits like throwing his head down after jumps. But right when he got his teeth floated, he stops so well, bends, and turns great and his throwing his head down after jumps trick is long gone. And he now goes in just a eggbutt snaffle. So before you think about getting ANOTHER harsher bit, make sure your horse just doesn't need his teeth floated. So I thought I would update this. Laredo<3 Laredo is a 14.3hh/15hh Quarter Horse Gelding. Our current record for the highest jump we have ever made together is 4'1 were aiming for higher. I have owned him a bit over 3 years. When I bought Laredo he had no english/jumping training. I orginally rode Western until someone at the place I boarded at inspired me to begin english. It started out rough because with my first english saddle came a tragic fall my sister had with Laredo. He damaged his hoof badly and he was off for about 5 months. We slowly began again & I got my first trainer who I did strictly dressage with. I had no interest in dressage at all. Got a new trainer, she didn't work out, and now I've been through I'd say 6 trainers maybe? You can tell I have no luck with trainers. My most recent trainer has an AMAZING horse Moosh who is featured in some videos, we showed in the 3' hunters and equitation at "AA" horse shows and we were aiming for the big shows like WEF or maybe even the Maclay's. But of course that trainer didn't work out and now I am on the hunt for a new one...again. I can't explain how much I miss Moosh. He was so sweet and so amazing, we were beginning to get a bond, I trusted him, he trusted me. Anytime I would go out to ride Laredo at my trainers I would ride Moosh too..it was so just awesome to ride this horse, there's no words to describle him. Now that I'm not training with his owner, I'm not riding him. I miss you moosh, I wish I could see you just one more time. So I'm currently trainerless. Times are rough because my parents are divorcing so until everythingis settled no horse shows. And YES I did show Laredo for one year and we did great. But I have a feeling he'll love jumpers more. So once I start showing (If I do) were going to do jumpers. Random facts about muah: I'm a 13 year old girl who's living in the sunshine state (Florida). I breath horses everyday. Life is pretty good. Photography is awesome. I love my camera xD I'm pretty loud, random, and definately not afraid to be outgoing. I'm good at multi-tasking (: I get hungry a lot. The movie Apollo 13 is thee best. Other than horses I'm into science, weather, health, and airplanes. I'm big on staying in shape since that's so important in horseback riding. It takes a lot to get me mad. I'm pretty humble unless you push certain buttons. I can't stand country, its the worst. Haha. Ok I'll stop blabbering about myself.
