This eye has a recurrent retinal detachment mostly from recurrent retianl gliosis. Dr. Uram performs a peripheral retinectomy. Using the laser endoscope, he flattens and lasers the retina. The advantages of imaging with the endoscope versus the operating microscope are well illustrated in this case.

This eye has recurrent PVR. Dr. Uram uses the endoscope to image areas of retinal detachment as well as peripheral areas of gliosis. A retinectomy is required in another area. The laser endoscope is then used to photocoagulate the retina.

Severe anterior PVR with membranes over the pars plana and onto the underside of the iris characterize this eye. Hypotony to the ciliary body detachment is also present. The endoscope allows Dr. Uram to view the site so that the NVR blade can be used to remove the membranes.
