CNN's Black in America series hit a nerve with me. I am angry today because I am tired of the black man being portrayed as this illiterate, lazy, irresponsible criminal who has no idea of how to get ahead in this world. Not all of us are like that but since we are dark, we will always be stereotyped as such... Gee Thanks, Soledad.... Good job CNN, I applaud you SOledad, but dayum, are we that bad?????

I received emails to make sure I watched this. but what black people fail to realize they are not going to give a true account of your life as a black person. You don't ever see them do a show on what it's like to be white in American and that cause you would find out that not all white people are doing well. We need ignore this shit. Great video.

However, some black men really do need to take an honest look at themselves and see where they can do better, and likewise black women. It's called progress, and hopefully WE ALL CONTINUE to grow and change -and that's called LIFE. Keep UR head UP brother.
