Just make a simple 3D computer model of a stereotypical extraterrestrial, then blur it a lot in a set pattern so it SEEMS different from what you think you would see if it was a 3D model, and then pull a few joints and repeat for the next frames. Cellphone cameras have a very low fps rate, so you would only need to manipulate a few frames. The 2nd one is quite interesting because there are more frames one would have to manipulate, and it moves with the camera.
