Jul 20, 2008 - You can't handle 11 g's if you're unfit, it requires a very strong heart to keep the brain supplied with blood under that kind of load. Unfit = pass out = dead.

Jul 22, 2008 - I don't think it's about your heart. You need to strain. tighten al your muscles and breath every 3 seconds. Because of that you have to be fit, you can't tighten your muscles for like 10 seconds under those surcomstancis if you are unfit.

Jul 22, 2008 - True, but that would still put a significant load on your heart. A weak heart wont be able to pump blood that weighs 11 times normal up to your brain as well as a strong heart, straining or not. You're right though they do need to tense up and regulate their breathing.

Jul 25, 2008 - Another problem is that with that kind of force exerced on the lungs, you cant breath right, you need much more "power" to be able to get oxygen to your body. Even if you have the lungs full of oxygen, the G force makes you spit out the air, its like if someone is pressing your chest against a wall, it becomes difficult to breath.
