Dec 31, 2007 - Not a dealer but my Outty 800 has left me stranded many times. I'm hoping the bugs are all repaired now and if so then its a pretty good machine. I like the power and comfort but its just too many repairs and concerning my riding, I'm an old man and the younger guys trash their Yamaha's and they seldom break.

If he was experienced he would have known not to slow down in reverse but to throttle it sort of hard and stay in it, it would have popped out, mine does pretty easily. Thats an XT and it has a winch. It comes in handy when you need it so why didnt he use it? OMG that was an impossible hole to go forward safely. good luck next time.
