A rare gap in the heavy showers allowed good views of 34067 on its dash up the Teign estuary accompanied by frantic song from a rising skylark. Later I was able to get a bonus grabshot on the approach to Newton Abbot, but had to make the best of a poor location, deteriorating weather and passing HST!

Jul 7, 2008 - Thanks Ryan, you posted a nice clip yourself. Ref. your comment on the start out of ESD: the driver actually did a good job by restricting the slipping after making the track ahead wet with that extremely long venting of the cylinder cocks. I used to watch these as a kid starting out for the bank to Exeter Central, and they used to slip like crazy, even with a banker on the back!!
