I stated a few reason why it was not so and why it is important for political reasons for Pat Robertson and others to claim it is a Christian Nation. That is the problem it is also political because it is at the base of their thinking they have a right to cram their religion up everyone's ass. I told them the facts show it is false but if they want to get together and "lie for Jesus" I can't stop them.

Jul 7, 2008 - I remember back in the late 50's, 60's and early 70's when I went to school it was taught that Jefferson, Washington, Franklin and Paine were not Christians. Today fundamentalist ignore the fact in order to prove a political point. How are they to be believed about anything else they say when this is such a clear lie. I do believe this is a dangerous lie too much like the Arian Nation concept of Germany in the 30's and 40's. In a sense it is to the same purpose.

Some even stated that from Jackson back not were Christians. That was Christians that LIVED THEN stating it. Well, Christians were lairs then or now. Aug 30, 2008 - Your music is to Germanic to be American. Deism is from the word Deity which means the creator. It is not a religion. To me belief in creation is all you need to be a deist. However your belief should be built on facts and that means the sciences not dogma. Evolution is all about creation that is how God creates. Everyone who believes in factual creation is a deist those who believe in fairy stories are just children of God who need to grow. America was built by deists.
