If someone of another faith liked what we had and got a law passed to make us merge, how meaningful would my faith be anymore? What if the Catholics, Moonies, Muslims, and all faiths did the ecumenical thing, and it became law? That to me, is like what the gays are trying to do to marriage. Marriage is not a contract, it is a moral COVENANT. It is religious by nature. It means FIDELITY, commitment, spiritual things.

Aug 7, 2008 - the reason I can relate to nate is because he has known a gay person closely before and I feel more comfortable talking to omeone who has atleast conversed face to face with a gay person before, especially a teen ager. Im not trying to recruit him. see this is why i cant converse with you. Aug 8, 2008 - That is an interesting concept. To what end will personal freedoms take us? Governments have come a long way since the fall of Egypt then Rome. Following each fall came a great dark age comprised of total human freedom where the strongest could do anything they wanted. Societies got tired of this and fashioned gov & social norms to combat darkness by giving up a bit of freedom for more security. Today we swing for ultimate freedom again to the point of trespass and a 3rd dark age.

It's not just a matter of gender being beneficial to society, it's about divine creation. You can call it nature; I call it God. Women should be moms and men should be dads. I find that interesting because the leaders of the lds church say that they don't know what causes homosexuality. and that same sex attraction is not evil. they do hold that acting upon those attractions is a sin. Aug 22, 2008 - Gender is created by specific sequences of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) coding and decoding in the womb. It is in EVERY cell of your body. Beyond that hormones unique to male and female further the differences. And in ppl its further defined by our dimorphism. I'm sorry, gender roles are not arbatrarily woven from whole cloth. Beyond that I have NEVER said that same sex attraction is evil, I dont hate gays. I am well aware what my church teaches in this reguard.

There are real consequences to our actions that have biological triggers.
