Nancy Lieberman, a.k.a Lady Magic from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA plays 7/24/2007 for the Detroit Shock of the WNBA. As provided by www.odusports.cstv.com, "Lieberman's impact to the sport of women's basketball is immeasurable. "Lady Magic." As she was known in the media during her days at ODU, helped her Lady Monarch teams collect an astounding 72-2 record during their back-to-back championship season. She was a member of the 1976 US Olympic team which won the gold medal in 1976. The three-time All-American remains ODU's leader in career assists with 961 while-standing Second in all-time steals with 512. Lieberman is the only two-time winner of the Wade Trophy (1979 and 1980) and is also a recipient of the Broderick Cup(1980). Lieberman was inducted to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1996 and the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 1999. She is also a member of the ODU Sports Hall of Fame and The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. She served as the head coach/general manager of the Detroit Shock and is currently an announcer for ESPN." Many of us were fortunate enough to see very similar behind-the-back-pass's like the one in the clip. Didn't a few S*M*A*C*K House guy's get schooled by her? How about ANOTHER 7-day contract?!? "Go, Lady Magic!"

Jul 29, 2008 - Well I cannot believe that 50 year old Nancy Lieberman is the best alternative player that Detroit could have picked up for their need. What a slap in the face to all the younger, quicker, more skilled athletes out there waiting for their chance to get into the WNBA. Give me a break!
